Our Comenius Activities...

Here are some pictures of our tiny plants... They started growing but it has been raining very hard, almost all day long,  for the past 2 weeks so we don't really know how they are doing right now. Some of them are probably destroyed... :-(

We also picked some olives. In November, olive trees are full of olives ready to be collected. Others are for eating and others are for making oil. We are going to make our own extra virgin olive oil!

After all that hard work we were very hungry! Have you tried a slice of bread with olive oil, oregano and salt or a slice of bread with olive oil and sugar? You'll love it!

Almost all classes started thinking in a "Comenius" way... Look at some of the children's class activities...
We did a matching exercise in English...

We studied the nutrition pyramid...

We created a small board game about the environment...

We made the Recycling Alphabet...

Class 1 learned how to write the word "σαλάτα" /salata/, and drew some bowls of salad...

And of course... our Christmas decorations were ecological this year!
We decorated an orange Christmas tree...

We made ornaments by materials we could have thrown away...

Some of our Christmas cards...

Our pop corn Christmas balls...

We wrote wishes with sugar and oregano...
